Preppers are often private people, at least when it comes to their preps. But sharing with friends and loved ones that they should be preparing is a worthwhile practice for many of us.
I believe there's still some kindling being put in place, but I'm reasonably certain that the match will be lit along racial lines and the cities will explode with violence to make 2020 look like a block party. It could be as soon as late summer this year, but my suspicion is spring of next year.
After a winter of shortages and with a new Republican congress to place blame upon, the mobs will be easily incited with a real or staged racial incident. I could even imagine it being a justified self-defense situation involving a homeowner and a thief. But it might be anything, as long as it's on video with a portion just short enough for a 5-10 second clip to be played on endless loop.
The optimist in me says not until 2024, but I wouldn't put a bet on the odds with as rapidly things have been happening. If you can move out of the cities, do so. Even if it's just to the outer edges. If you can't move, get to know your neighbors very well.
